Once again the fear of the petrol crisis started to rise in the country.
Difficulties for petroleum companies due to the non-opening of LCs
Due to the non-opening of LCs for the import of petroleum products, the advisory council of oil companies has written a letter to the government.
The letter states that banks are not opening LCs for oil import due to which oil marketing companies and refineries are facing difficulties.
It has been said in the post that due to the non-opening of LCs in time, there is a fear of a
petrol crisis in the country, if the supply chain is affected, it will take 6 to 8 weeks to return to normal.
The oil companies have demanded that the Finance Minister and the Minister of State for Petroleum should take notice of the situation and play their role to ensure timely LCs.
