Bureau of Statistics releases weekly inflation figures
According to the data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the weekly inflation rate increased further in the country.
The weekly inflation report said that the weekly inflation rate in the country increased by 0.44 percent while the annual inflation rate increased by 32 percent.
According to the report, the prices of 23 items, including wheat flour, increased last week, while the prices of 21 food items remained stable. Meanwhile, the prices of seven essential commodities decreased.
The report said that last week double roti, garlic, eggs, dal mung, rice, onion dal chana, mash, lentils, and LPG gas also became expensive while tomato, potato, chicken, ghee, cooking oil, sugar became relatively cheap.
According to the Statistics Institute, the price of a bag of flour in other cities of Punjab is 1295 rupees, 20 kg flour is 3 thousand rupees in Hyderabad, 2900 rupees in Karachi, and 2867 rupees in Gujranwala.
